The Ultimate Skin Whitening Guide
Pakistan's scorching sun is not one of our allies. Especially if you are a university student who spends half of your day outside. Continuous sun exposure increases the production of melanin in the skin, causing our skin to darken and sometimes leave unsightly splotchy marks. Sun tans can be difficult to remove, but with a few home remedies, a healthy lifestyle, and possibly a few products, the unwanted tan can be removed.
Keeping yourself covered is the most basic way to avoid direct sun exposure. Wear full-sleeved clothing made of breathable materials, such as cotton or lawn, and a hat to provide shade. Remember that prevention is preferable to cure.
Keep Hydrated:
Keeping your skin hydrated will help it to rejuvenate and glow from within. Drink plenty of water and include water-rich fruits in your diet. This will hasten the fading of your tan and give you a healthy flush of pink on your skin.
Wear sunscreen at all times:
Do not skip the sunscreen, no matter what time of year it is. It will protect your skin from the sun's harmful UV rays and keep it from tanning or getting burned. It acts as a shield between the sun's harmful rays and our skin, preventing skin cancer. So, the next time you go outside, don't forget to apply sunscreen. Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Dry-Touch Sunscreen SPF 45 is my favourite.
Scrub it away:
So you've gotten a tan. What happens next? Using a gentle scrub, you can slough off the top, damaged layer of your skin. It will help you remove the tanned skin (to a lesser extent) and draw out the fresh new skin. I recommend using St. Ives Invigorating Apricot scrub in the shower once or twice a week. It can be used on the face as well as the rest of the body.
Scrubbing too hard can cause skin irritation.
Bleaching:
To instantly lighten the skin colour, chemical bleaches designed specifically for the delicate skin on our faces and bodies are used. It is, however, not the safest way to lighten your skin.. Whatever the formula, I have always found it to be too harsh for my skin. If you must bleach your skin, avoid being in the sun for at least 4 to 5 hours. Because bleaching always makes the skin more sensitive to UV rays from the sun.
Whitening Facials:
Nowadays, many salons offer special skin whitening facials. They are both effective and soothing. If you want to avoid going to the salon, you can give yourself a whitening facial at home. It will save you both time and money.
